Hello!

So there’s Olaplex and other fantastic brands but are there any that you think are ‘the best’ and totally worth it?

  • I’m into natural remedies and I use either coconut oil or castor oil. Castor oil is very thick and helps with any irritation on your scalp and hair loss. Coconut oil replenishes the oils in your hair and adds lustre and is great for hair loss and dandruff. You can also add, rosemary, peppermint and tea tree oil to your shampoo for a revitalising, cleansing and activating your scalp. So I hope this helps if you’re looking for something more natural.

  • This is awesome! I’m getting such a great list of hair care items I want for Christmas now! Lol

  • As a bit of a snob with hair care i 1000% swear by L’Oréal Golden Mask! Hands down is the best mask out, with fantastic repairing properties but also i love the gold bits i leaves in my hair

  • I have never tried Olaplex so I cant compare but my hair is very long but fine and my scalp is prone to be sensitive. I am really liking the Schwarzkopf 4 in 1 Repair Treatment Bio-Tech Repair. It smells amazing and has matching shampoo and conditioner.

  • It depends on your type of hair as well i guess! As some brands would work better vs others depending on the type of hair you have. I have tried several brands and love NAK. Its mid price point but is amazing for my thick asian hair.

  • My Miss 16 works In hairdressing and recommends Keune Nutritional Hair Mask. I don’t use hair masks myself though. My hair is quite fine and I feel that hair masks weigh my hair down.

  • My Miss 16 works in hairdressing. Her favourite is Keune Nutritional Mask. She recommends this one.

  • I’ve been using kerastase and I’ve heard that k18 is very good for your hair so I’m keen to give that a go! I’m also a fan of bed head products, they are very thick and rich.

  • I haven’t tried enough variety to give an honest opinion but I am using one at the moment Loreal Elvive Extraordinary oil mask with Jojoba. I love that one. Half price at Woolies at the moment.

  • I love the hair masks Aveda has. The botanical repair mask makes my hair feel so healthy, soft and light. Olaplex and K18 are the stand outs and definitely worth the high price. The hype is real.
