Hello!

What has worked for you? I have stubborn pigmentation on my neck that won’t budge. I’ve tried IPL, dualmode laser, PICO laser, niacinamide and am currently using prescription hydroquinone. I’ve spent soooo much money with very little results. I’m at the stage where I think I will just live it.

  • I haven’t found anything that works for me either.

  • Sorry to hear that you’re having no success. I wouldn’t know where to start if I had this problem, maybe my gp who would give me a referral to a dermatologist? Interesting to read everyone’s responses on here.

  • I’ve tried using different products for my pigmentation without any any luck too. My dermatologist recommended LaRoche Posay’s B3 lotion, but after months of use I haven’t seen any improvement. I will be interested in any suggestions posted here.

  • I had some minor pigmentation on the side of my neck and what works for me is daily sunscreen, I found sun exposure was makes it look darker and also using Alpha- H Liquid Gold exfoliating Treatment at night.
Not medical advice, but sometimes neck pigmentation can be a sign of insulin resistance or something up hormonally, have you had a blood panel down recently? If not, if may be worth looking into.

  • Seems you have really put some effort in with not much luck.
Sometimes its just us that worries about these things and its very possible that others dont notice or simply think its not a big deal. One of my daughters has quite a long nose and she thought about having plastic surgery but then decided that if she did she would no longer look like her so she canned the idea.
You look like you and you are beautiful.

  • Sorry to hear nothing has worked for you.
Definitely don’t give up if it’s something that’s making you unhappy.
You just need to find the right person to help you. I would definitely recommend having a look at the reason for the pigmentation. Perhaps it’s an internal thing and not so much external. It could simply be a level in your body that might be a bit out of whack and just needs balancing. Good luck with it. For now I would recommend to keep trying gentle regular exfoliation. Maybe an acid peel product?

  • I agree with trying a dermatologist. Let the experts guide for your specific skin.

  • Definitely second the dermatologist route. You’ll end up spending just as much hunting out products when they can guide you on what can help

  • Probably not the best answer but if its something that youve tried various things and its still there, perhaps go see a dermatologist as they specialise in skin and see whether its something that can actually go away.
