Hello!

There’s quite a few brands selling collagen and hyaluronic acid supplements for ‘beauty from within’. Vida Glow and Welleco are two that are very popular. Just wondering if you have tried them and noticed any difference?

  • Thanks for your replies. You often have to wonder how much actually gets absorbed and goes to the skin. I don’t think it’s something I will ever bother with.

  • I feel like they are a bit gimmicky when they sell these sorts of products. I would assume it would be something you really had to be consistent with and take over a course of a long time to even see some sort of benefit. Skincare and looking after your diet would probably give faster results.

  • Like others I have tried them but feel my skincare gives better benefits.
I do find that my tummy can be rather sensitive so I try not to take things like this unless I can see a true need and for me the need is just not there.

  • I just take a general multivitamin. I’m not sure if collagen supplements would be beneficial.

  • The only product I’ve ever tried which was skin care related was collagen gummies. They tasted great but I noticed no difference in my skin or hair and later learnt that the amount in them was pretty useless. I think if you buy supplements etc for skin care you’ve really got to do you research and compare the ingredients etc

  • I tried the collagen + hyaluronic acid from Swisse and didn’t notice any difference. I stopped taking them after a few bottles because I see more of a noticeable difference in skincare than any supplement and didn’t care to spend $50 on them
