Hello!

I would love to hear peoples thoughts on whether cucumber water and whether it is really that good for you and hydrate your skin. My skin is always so dry and I am looking at different ways to keep it hydrated other than moisturiser. Would love to hear from those who drink it and if you think it has any benefits.

  • I’ve never heard of cucumber water. Do you drink it or apply directly to your face? For me, I drink lots of water and find that facial serums are great for hydration.

  • I’m not sure if cucumber water has any more benefits than just drinking water. I prefer water with a squeeze of lemon in it.

  • I don’t like the taste of cucumber water, but do like Aloe water, so maybe try that? It’s super cheap from asian supermarkets and I love to put some in a mister and spray in the mornings.

  • OOh, I have never heard of this. I’ll read the replies though and I may learn something worthwhile.

  • I agree with the others here.
its not something that I have personally tried but I have always been a good water drinker even as a child. As long as you have a good fluid intake that should help.
Having cucumber water is not going to help and might help you to increase your fluid intake if its a bit low.
Spritzing your face with things like this can also help and is especially cooling during the heat of Summer if you keep it in the fridge.

  • Mm i dont think it would make that much of a difference. Just drinking more plain water as it is should help, but also having the right products for your skin needs play a big part too. Look at things like exfoliation as well to help rid old/dead skin

  • Whilst I don’t personally drink cucumber water I definitely believe that it’s going to hydrate you. Firstly the cucumber helps the water taste better and thereby makes you drink more. Secondly cucumber is mostly water but does have some anti inflammatory benefits and skin softening abilities. So yeah! Why not drink it! It’s not going to do bad for you! I would also try adding in plenty of healthy fats for dry skin. Ie. Salmon, olives, olive oil, nuts etc
These are all fantastic for healthy glowing skin! I’ve been having them to help heal my gut and a side effect has been great skin! Good luck

  • I really don’t think it does, it just makes it more enjoyable to have lightly flavoured water. If adding cucumber, lemon or mint to water makes you drink more then do it. Just having lots of water throughout the day does wonders for your skin

  • I haven’t heard anything about cucumber water. I will have to do some research to find out more about it. Watermelon is very good for hydration but it is getting fairly expensive nowadays.
