Hello!

Since having my daughter the time I spend on my hair and looking after it is non existant. My hair is in need of some much love, can anyone please recommend a good hair treatment or hair mask for dry, damaged hair? Thank you!

  • A new favourite of mine is the Olaplex hair oil. It’s so lightweight and nourishing. I’ve tried many, many oils and have found a lot give me a greasy look, not a factor at all with olaplex.

  • Right now I’m using a John Frieda hair oil which is really easy to use with good results.

  • I use leave in spray conditioners for quick maintenance. At the moment, I’m using Schwarzkopf. For my in depth treatments, I use hair oils.

  • Silk oil of Morocco have a good one. You can also get lots of different treatments from Sportsgirl. I have always found their products to be pretty decent too.

  • I’ve recently learnt that some people can have bad reactions to protein in shampoo and conditioner. It can result in hair fall and hair breakage. If you experience this you should use one without protein every few washes and it might help overall health of your hair

  • I like to experiment with different hair masks so I change every time I buy one. I find most work well and leave my hair feeling and smelling lovely. Just keep varying it.

  • Invest in a great hair treatment. Brands like opalex or NAK are ones ive tried and have loved. They have been amazing. If you’re unsure, pay a visit to hairhouse warehouse. They have some incredible brands there!

  • So many great products out there! I’ve been enjoying doing the Olaplex treatment on my hair. It is a bit expensive but it feels like a little luxury and I leave it in for hours to feel like I’m getting bang for buck.

  • Biolage All in One oil is also a lovely option. It’s lightweight and doesn’t give my hair that greasy look that other oils do.

  • I had the same issue and I found what works for me is Kerastase hair oil every few days, and Biolage shampoo and conditioner. Being a first time mum I decided that the only alone time I was getting each day was to shower so I was going to splurge on my products. I’ve also been loving Aesop Sage and Cedar hair treatment. It’s an oil you massage into your scalp half hour before washing. The sensation is really lovely and I felt my hair loss post breastfeeding was a lot less once I started using it

  • I’ve used a Garnier banana hair mask which comes in a big tub and last for a long time.
Growth Bomb, Evo and De Lorenzo are other brands of hair treatments I’ve used. Have also tried organiccoconut oil and leave in treatments.

  • I’ve used lots of hair products over the years and have found the cheap Garnier brand hair masks excellent. They leave my hair soft and silky and I don’t feel like I’m spending $5-10 each time I dig my hand into the tub!

  • I use a leave in conditioner for the ends of my hair after I wash my hair and I find this really helps. Other ideas are to use an oil with nutrients in it, this is another great option.

  • Reading this article and responses too. I need so much help lol

  • There is an article on this site about keratin treatments for hair which might help. I use hair oil to keep my hair shiny and tangle free. I especially like the Elvive Extraordinary Oil, and John Frieda Frizz Ease.

  • Thanks Ladies for these recommendations I’ll have to look into these products and give them a go!

  • I really love the gisou honey infused hair products. I have never had much luck with any masks, but their oil and hair perfume leave my hair feeling smelling amazing and super smooth and soft

  • One thing that I found really helpful was to use a hair oil after I washed my hair.
You just pump some into your hand and rub your hands together and then rake your fingers through the lengths of your hair. Once your hair dries you should have a lovely healthly looking shine to your hair.
