I would never purchase one for myself but I’ve noticed a few of late and thought it would be a great gift idea for any young woman in a family.

I just saw the most indulgent advent calendar. The Aesop Dollhouse. Its already sold out and has a price tag of $800 for 13 pieces! My sister practically lives in Aesop and has the most gorgeous bathroom cabinet filled with all their products, so I’d say it’s worth the hefty price.

Whether it’s worth the cost is going to be different for each person. If you are using everything or almost everything in them, then you could say worth it. But if it’s more for the thrill and excitement but things go unused, then probably not! I always love the glasshouse ones but just can’t justify spending that much on them

My brother bought the Giorgio Armani advent calendar for his partner and it was absolutely lush. So many gorgeous high end pieces. It went on forever and ever. What it had was really useful and in shades that can work for almost everyone. Last year Go-To skincare had an advent calendar in their holiday range (not available this year, devo!) and it was lovely. Some exclusive lip products, minis of my favourite products. I have never purchased one mainly because I feel that I have a lot of stuff anyway and I would rather spend that money on the exact thing that I want rather than getting a lot of things that might be nice but not the exact shade of product that want or adding to my lipgloss collection which I dont need.
