Hello!

Have you need to a dermatologist before? I feel like you have to have a ‘reason’ for going so I’ve never been but have always been interested in going and seeing what kind of skin care they recommend for me etc. I’d love to hear your experiences and if it’s worth it

  • No, I don’t feel I have ever had a need. I have had allergic reaction in the past but this was always dealt with by my General Practitioner.

  • Thanks, this was really helpful! I felt like I was missing out on something but I definitely wouldn’t enjoy paying a hefty price for information that I probably could have got from Google or chat gpt lol

  • No I havent.
I am wary of various spas and such also as they will of course tell you that the brand they sell is the best.
I have simply found my skincare by myself and im quite happy with that.

  • I have but not just for ‘just because’ reasons. You’ll find that these appointments cater to so many different skin conditions – that for simple ones they’ll see you for not even 5 minutes before ushering you out the door for the next client – just for you to leave paying for an expensive appointment. I’d start with going to skin clinic places that offer treatments etc that can scan your face into those fancy machines and give you some advice.

  • I’m the same, I’ve never been because I don’t believe I’ve ever really had a reason. I’ve been pretty lucky with my skin and haven’t had any real concerns. Hoping that doesn’t change.
