Hello!

I’d love to know any heat treatment products that you would recommend. I use either a cloud 9 hot brush and a ghd curling wand several times a week and haven’t found a product I love yet.

  • Ive used a GHD one and that has worked quite well for me! Doesnt cost too much but i love the scent and doesnt weigh my hair down at all which some other products do.

  • I can also recommend Toni & Guy, it’s quite good but a bit more expensive.

  • My daughter is junior hairdresser and suggests Hot Muk Thermal Protector spray. It’s what she uses. It’s UV protectant against thermal tools, helps with colour fade and protects against splint ends and breakage. It’s about $30. A high quality brand.

  • My daughter has been using tony and guy and says she’s quite happy with it- she has gorgeous hair so I might have to try it myself. Also the GHD one I said I used realised that they don’t sell that one anymore and they have new ones so they might be better than I thought

  • I like the Tresemme heat protection spray. It works well for me and is very affordable.

  • I also love the NAK heat protecting spray, not only does it leave an amazing shine but it smells so good!!

  • Thank you for the rec’s everyone! I’ve been debating trying the Kerastase heat protestant spray. Even on sale currently on adore beauty it feels like a decent commitment, but I’ve never used anything of theirs I didn’t love. Definitely keen to try what’s been suggested!

  • I love one by Revlon Professional that is calledc Uniq one Hair Treatment. If I could post a photo here I would. It comes in a Red pump spray bottle and not only is a heat protection product but it smells amazing and makes my hair look awesome. I use it even if im not using heat tools. I helps detangle, repairs damaged hair, protects your hair from UVA and UVB. Its seriously worth a try.

  • I have a heat protectant spray from NAK and have also tried GHD. Cant fault them for heat protectant as they do the job and do it well. Also a great tip is not to use the hottest setting on your tools as cooler air can be better for hair strands.

  • Great question! I’ve only used two before and to be honest I don’t know if they did anything?! The first one was a Ghd expensive one which made my hair feel a bit dry – seems counteractive to me. Then I was given a garnier fructise one for free and it smelt lovely but I still don’t know if it did anything?
I don’t really bother anymore. I just use a really good conditioner and try and give my hair a break from heat tools as often as possible. I’m interested to see if anyone has a good one. I’m happy to try another brand.

  • I am in the same boat, there are so many options available it is hard to know and find one that is great. I am going to follow this for tips from other members. I hope you find one that you love.
