I dont do anything special but i do moisturise my hands daily. Keeping my cuticles soft and hydrated seems to have done wonders with my nails. They are often long without me really trying.

I take a Swisse nail supplement and also use a Mavala nail strenghtening treatment.

Apart from a healthy diet, you can buy products to strengthen your nails to make them stronger. I like Sally Hansen for nail care products. Nails are all they do, so it’s quite an easy choice. I also prefer the quaility of their nail polishes over most other brands, but Revlon would have to be my favourite for nail polish colours.

I was actually going to say something similar to the other answer. It might be worth getting your levels checked to make sure you aren’t low on iron or vit d or any of those things! I was recently told to eat lots of good fat foods like salmon, nuts and olive oil etc and my hair and nails have been looking great. Good luck with it

As you say since having kids they brake perhaps you are a little run down and could benefit from multi vitamins or taking one of Skin and nail vitamins.
Perhaps since having children you have your hands in water more often with having to wash your hands more, wash children, etc. Look out for a good quality hand cream to help protect not only your nails but your hands.
Bio oil rubbed around the base of the nail is something I often use and I have always had long and strong nails.
