Hello!

I have heard mixed messages about setting sprays and i would love to hear what other members think of them and are they really worth the money. I have used a few in my time but i can’t say i love them.

  • Definitely a big yes for me! I find my face can look dry or cakey after a powder. The setting spray locks it all in but allows my skin to feel and look more natural as it softens the powder.

  • I mostly tend to use a setting powder rather then a spray but if I didnt have one available I would use the spray instead.

  • Setting spray is a must for me, I find I really see my makeup last much longer when it’s properly set. I currently use an Australis brand one, as many have ingredients that aren’t pregnancy safe and I’m still using up what’s left. I really like the Charlotte tilbury one, nothing moves once that’s on

  • 100% definitely! I’m new to using setting spray and will not leave the home without it. It’s especially good for when you are on holiday and don’t want to touch up makeup. I never thought it would make a difference but I was wrong. I’ve only tried one brand (but recently bought a NYX one, yet to try), and out of the two Maybelline ones, the best is Maybelline Superstay Double Fixer Setting Spray. It’s better than the Maybelline Lasting Fix Setting Spray. Two fine spray mists cover the face so the bottle lasts a while. A really good investment, particularly if you like to splurge on high-end foundation.

  • I’d love to see what answers everyone gives to this aswell! I personally don’t use them and don’t find them necessary. I actually like the look of make up after it’s had an hour or two to settle. I don’t think it’s required.
