Hello!

How do you make makeup last through sweat and heat without looking cakey? My foundation or skin tint looks great when applied, but by the end of the working day it’s not great!

  • I think less is more! Don’t go for heavy full coverage type stuff as your skin will feel suffocated. Definitely use a good setting spray and ensure your base (face) is hydrated and ready beforehand

  • That’s a great question. To me, when I think of cakey, I think of dry skin. Keeping skin hydrated alleviates this problem. In terms of sweat and heat, I would dab gently with a tissue and avoid touching with your fingers.

  • As someone else who lives in humid, humid QLD I’ve had to find formulas that work well for my skin. Not all make up is the same. I found that Fenty has the coverage I want while still allowing my skin to breathe. Their primer is amazing, better than all the rest I’ve tried. If I know it’s going to be a particularly humid day I’ll just wear concealer and a foundation powder.

  • I live in Queensland and often venture to the Whitsundays and inland central Queensland where it gets very hot a humid. I have found that the Nivea Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm is a great Primer. I think it was either Kylie or Kendall Jenner that mentioned this a few years back but I have to agree its awesome.
Another one that works well is Neats 3B facesaver gel.
