Hello!

for those who have gone through it, or know someone that has, does your skincare products change? I’ve seen some new menopause skincare products in store lately and was wondering if it was all a gimmick!

  • I’ve been through this and as Meedee said below I put any changes down to general ageing. I have not noticed and extreme changes and use the same general products. I think it’s a gimmick.

  • Really great insight guys! Guess it definitely makes sense that a more rich or hydrating cream would be better for this period. I was definitely caught by surprise seeing menopause skincare products on shelves so i guess it makes sense!

  • Not going through it myself, but I know friends and MIL saw benefits from using thicker moisturisers and adding hyaluronic acid to their routines. They needed more hydration and a longer lasting plump feeling. I’d say to go off what your skin is telling you. If your current products no longer make your skin feel lush, switch it up.

  • I am in my early 60’s and I guess menopause played a part in changing skin but I very much just put it down to general aging. I dont think anyone can expect their skin to still be happy with the products they were using when they were in their teens. Now im older I like more hydration and more gentle products.
