Hello!

curious to know if anyone has skincare tips or routines that they still do till this day that was passed down to them? Whether it’s a product they swear by or a tip that just stuck with you growing up?

  • Always wash your makeup off and moisturise before bed. I always use hand cream at night after my Mum always did.

  • Loving some of the responses people are giving here! Very interesting to see that a lot of it is just simple beauty rules such as always cleansing and moisturising skin. I hope that I’ll be able to give good advice to my children one day as well too as its something that can leave a lasting memory with them.

  • Sadly no. I didn’t really have a mum that was close and big on giving advice when I was growing up so all my makeup and beauty stuff is self taught.
I do now tell my daughters that moisturiser is your friend, when I was there age I believed it would make my skin oily and give me pimples so I avoided it.

  • I was taught to cleanse tone and moisturise at school as a teen and still follow this routine to this day

  • Very much so. My Mum always looked after her skin and taught me from a young age how to care for my own skin which I in turn passed down to my three daughters. Two of them followed and one decided that skincare was a waste of time. She very much regrests it and she is now in her late 30’s and has worse skin then her mother. Sunbathing and not wearing sunscreen daily has taken its toll.

  • No particular product but I’ve always been told to use sunscreen daily and still do today. I’m curious to see what others say. I wish I had some real gems I’d been doing/using since day one
