I must say I never bother using primer. I generally don’t wear a lot of make up most days, just go with some blush. If you use foundation, when I am using that I usually just use on it’s own.

I don’t use primer, I have never had much success with it and the ones I have tried I find they make my makeup almost slip off or split. I am a huge advocate for good skincare and skin prep prior to applying make up. I find if I keep on top of this my make up lays smooth and I don’t need primer or setting sprays.

With my budget, retirement (not out every day) and simplifying the routine I don’t use any.

When I was young I didnt use them but now that im older I feel that they are a must.
There are lots of cheap options out there such as the MCo beauty brand.
The NYX Primers are lovely also.

I love primers but it really depends on other products you use. I love urban decay all nighter primer but I’ve noticed lately it starts to pill on my skin after using my moisturising routine. But it really helped my makeup apply much smoother and stay looking neat. What is absolutely worth it is eyeshadow primer. I love the Too Faced one most. Using it you won’t have any crease build up, it’s incredible

I tried a few primers (Innoxa and Nude by Nature) many years ago and felt they did nothing so never bothered pursuing further. About a year ago I found Revlon Colorstay Grip Matte Primer heavily marked down in a supermarket so bought two tubes. This stuff is AMAZING! Not only does the foundation glide beautifully, but it stays put and stays matte. I only use it when needed (going out/travel/humidity/long-haul flight) but it really does work.
