Hello!

I’d love to know what inexpensive beauty tool has changed the way you go about your routine. For me it’s brow razors. I can’t believe how long I went without this little tool. It makes at home maintenance so much easier in between brow appointments. I feel like there must be other clever things I’m missing out on and can’t wait to see what others use.

  • What I love at the moment and just discovered, is the McOBeauty facial razor for fine hairs. It shaves ever so closely and neatly. Easy to use and cost effective. I use aloe Vera gel as a base. You can sometimes get the razors on special at Big W or Woolies.

  • I love my hair bonnet. I went with one lined with silk and highly recommend splurging that bit more for a quality piece. Silk is much better for your hair and won’t suffocate your scalp like synthetic fibres do

  • My niece recently purchased a hair bonnet to sleep in! Apparently they are cheap and protect the hair during the night! Could be worth looking into

  • I just realised another beauty related item that I use daily, the set of 2 hot tool silicone mats from Kmart. They are so cheap, durable, and I can keep one in both the main bathroom and ensuite. So handy!

  • Some other pieces I love and use regularly; a good pair of exfoliating gloves, a silk scrunchie for bed time, a hairbrush that doesn’t have the hard bubbles on the end (less snagging and easier to clean = cleaner hair)

  • ChiWren, unfortunately there is no brand name on the tweezers or scissors and I purchased them so long ago that I couldn’t tell you the brand.

  • Crystal rollers. They weren’t so cheap when they first came onto the market but I love keeping mine in the fridge and using it to revive and depuff my skin in the mornings.

  • I’ve been so tempted to get cuticle cutters, but I’ve also read a lot of articles about them not being fabulous for growth. I’m so torn! And a great pair of tweezers changes everything! Nothing worse than a pair that grip terribly and hardly pull.

  • I was gifted the most awesome pair of tweezers. I cant really explain how great they are but unlike my usual tweezers these ones just seem to fit in my hand better, they have a better grip and even my daughter has commented on them and how badly she wanted a pair. She tried google to find where she could get a pair with no luck.

  • For me it’s my cuticle nail cutters – they have saved me from spending money to go and get mani/pedis as i can just keep my nails looking their best at home now. Especially when you get those rough/dry skin that form around the nails. Its the best thing and i use it often!

  • Love these tools! And I think we need to know the brands of these nail scissors and tweezers that last so long, that’s incredible!

  • This question made me think about the beauty tools I use, and there is nothing out of the ordinary, but it did make me realize that I have been using the same nail scissors and the same tweezers for the last 40+ years. 🙂

  • A little magnifying mirror from Big W that has a plunger to stick to the bathroom mirror. I use it daily.

  • That’s a great idea! I wish I was brave enough to use a brow razor! I think if I used one I’d end up with two different size eyebrows 😀
For me I discovered those cheap rolling massage tools about a year ago. I was using it at night time but I realised how well it worked at depuffing my face and under eye area so I now use it in the morning before applying my makeup.
